The Council is a not for profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of our Native American heritage. The membership is primarily from Indiana but is extends throughout the United States.

 

To become an Active Voting member

  1. You must be 18 years of age.

  2. You must attend three meeting within six (6) months.

  3. You must be of Native American heritage or be sponsored by current active voting member with Native American heritage.

If you are interested in becoming a member of American Indian Council you can download the application that is at the bottom of the page or contact the Membership Secretary Sandy Maddox at 1.765.453.9025 or maddox.s@comcast.net. An application is given to the Secretary upon request at your first meeting. A vote for active voting members is taken on the third meeting.

 

To remain an active voting member you must have no more than six (6) unexcused absences for the preceding calendar year, if you do not attend you will be considered inactive. If you do not attend, but your dues are paid you will be placed on the Associate members list and you will continue to receive newsletters until your dues expires. 

 

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP & ASSOCIATE DUES

DUE ON JAN 1ST:

Individual = $15.00

Family = $28.00  Must be living in the same household or student in college.

 

Meetings

 

A meeting is held each month on the third Sunday afternoon at 1:30pm and all interested persons are welcome to attend. All meetings are held at the Boone County 4-H Grounds unless otherwise stated. There is a pitch-in dinner after the meeting.  The December meeting is a social, held on the first Saturday of the month at the Boone County 4-H Community Building. There is pitch-in dinner to be proceed by drumming and dancing.
